Saturday 4/24/2021 was a busy day for the members. We started off with a long overdue station cleanup. Just prior to lunch time, we boarded the apparatus and travelled to Kevin Carry’s home. Kevin was awarded the 2020 Arthur “Channey” Raffaele for outstanding service to Darby Fire Co. No. 1.
After returned to the firehouse, two more awards were presented.
John Ellis was recipient of the 2020 Firefighter of The Year and President’s awards for routinely being a member who helps with every aspect of fire company operations.
Thank you to the members who spent time helping to make the day an overwhelming success! Several weeks ago at the monthly meeting, Life Member Jim Booth was presented with the 2020 Chief’s Award from Past Chief Vince Lanni. Jim was instrumental in guiding the organization through the challenges of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
